Mine, Yours
An easy game that allows participants to learn a lot of names very quickly.
Optional: a soft object that can be thrown around a circle
How to play
Participants sit or stand in a circle. The instructor says their own name, then someone else's in the circle, throwing the object to that person (e.g. 'John, Kate'). The receiver says their own name, then someone else's (e.g. 'Kate, Matt'), and throws the object to a different person. Continue as long as needed. Once it moves very quickly, you can assume participants know each other's names.
Variations
To play without an object, simply voice the game, or add a rhythmic clapping sequence (knee slap followed by a clap, for example).
