Newspaper Relay
Two sheets of newspaper per player per team
How to play
Divide the class into equal teams behind a start line with a turnaround cone about 15 metres ahead. Each player has two sheets of newspaper. The player may only move by stepping on newspaper sheets and is not permitted to touch the floor directly. They place one sheet down, step on it, place the second sheet forward, step on it, then reach back to pick up the first sheet and move it forward. Using this leapfrog stepping method the player makes their way to the cone and back, then hands the newspaper to the next player. The first team to have all players complete the relay wins.
Variations
Reduce the sheets to one per player to increase difficulty. Add a rule that sheets must overlap slightly before stepping.
