Caterpillar Relay

Divide the class into equal teams seated in single file on the floor facing forward with legs spread wide. The first player holds the ball and passes it overhead to the player behind, who continues passing it overhead all the way to the last player. The last player stands up, runs along the outside of the line to the front, and sits down at the front of the line. The ball is then passed backwards overhead again. This continues until the original front player is back at the front. The first team to complete the sequence wins.

Alternate between overhead and between-the-legs passing for added challenge. Race with two balls simultaneously for a more complex variation.
