Romeo & Juliet

Divide participants into two even teams (the easy way is to ask them to pair up). Have one person from each pair move to one side of the playing area and their partner to the opposite side, facing them. Instruct one side that they are 'Romeo': when they hear their name they flex their muscles and say 'grrrr' loudly. The other side are 'Juliet': when they hear their name they flick their right leg and throw both hands up while saying 'ohhhh'. As the instructor, yell out 'Romeo' or 'Juliet' in any pattern you wish (e.g. Romeo-Romeo-Juliet-Romeo) and players make their move when called. When you feel it is appropriate, yell 'Romeo & Juliet!' Participants run into the middle and meet their partners. Romeo takes a knee and Juliet sits on it, holding Romeo around the neck. The last pair to come together and get into position is eliminated. Continue until only two pairs remain, then run the final round.
